Anthony Bechu is artistic director and principal architect of the agency.
Principal architect and artistic director of the agency, Anthony Béchu is the son and grandson of architects. Passionate about the history and identity of places, his contemporary architectural approach seeks to craft a narrative and grammar rooted in the analysis of culture, morphology, and historical context. His work spans renovation projects, building designs, as well as campuses and cities.
Anthony's overarching goal is to connect histories while implementing project methodologies and eco-responsible strategies that address today's and tomorrow's challenges. Inspired by this vision and through his extensive travels, the architect, supported by his associates, followed in his father's footsteps to create and develop Bechu & Associés—a firm renowned for its specialized expertise and its ability to deliver thoughtful projects at various scales, both in France and internationally.
Passionate about innovation and committed to shaping the city of tomorrow alongside experts and scientists, Anthony Béchu has been a member of the Academy of Technologies since 2010 and was awarded the distinction of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in 2014.
Clémence Bechu
Clémence Bechu leads innovation and sustainable development initiatives.
Managing partner of the architecture and urban planning agency Bechu & Associés, member of its Management Committee, Clémence coordinates its projects and strategic development.
Winner from 2019 to 2022 of the choiseul ranking, Clémence was promoted "Pierre d'Or 2023" in the CSR - Green Innovations category, for her involvement in the various actions she leads, whose purpose is to participate in a constructive and pioneering way in the transformation of more sustainable cities.
Coordinating for the agency institutional partnership actions with impact (Palladio Foundation, BBCA or BiodiverCity labels, IPFEB's low carbon Hub, Paris & Co "Low Tech"), Clémence is an entrepreneur personally involved in scientific collaborations and with start-ups that she seeks to bring to light in the new Climate economy.

Aliénor Bechu
Aliénor Bechu defines the agency's standards in interior architecture and design.
A talented interior architect and designer, Aliénor embodies her family's legacy of passion for architecture. A graduate of the Camondo School, she grew up in a lineage where the profession of architect is a vocation passed down through generations. Introduced by her father and grandfather to the nuances of this demanding field, she developed expertise and a refined sensitivity early on, which naturally led her to focus on interior design.
Her perfectionism, curiosity, and determination drove her to take the helm of Volume ABC in 2015. Since then, as managing director, she has infused the agency with her distinctive style, specializing in interior architecture and design projects. Her approach, characterized by refined elegance and a deep appreciation for exceptional spaces, stands out for its constant pursuit of harmony between a location's history and its future purpose.
As managing director of Volume ABC since October 2015, Aliénor has led numerous prestigious projects across sectors such as hospitality, dining, event spaces, offices, and residential properties. Notable achievements include the restaurant Les Ombres atop the Musée du Quai Branly, the Grand Café d'Orléans at the Château de Versailles, the transformation of Miramar La Cigale into a five-star hotel in Arzon, and the Baccarat Room, a new culinary space by Chef Alain Ducasse in Paris.

Philippe Ros
A pillar of operational management, Philippe Ros is a leading conductor of the agency.
An architect with extensive experience, Philippe has been co-manager of the Bechu & Associés agency for nearly two decades. With over 15 years of prior practice, he inherited his passion for architecture, being the grandson and son of architects himself.
A graduate in urban architecture from the Saint Luc School of Tournai in Belgium, Philippe has honed his expertise by specializing in various fields, including judicial expertise, HQE (High Environmental Quality) coordination, and SPS (Health and Safety Protection) coordination.
Philippe has contributed to numerous landmark projects, such as the restructuring of historic real estate complexes in Paris. He has also been involved in the construction and renovation of buildings serving diverse purposes, ranging from residential properties to offices and commercial spaces.
Through his innovative vision and commitment to excellence, Philippe continues to shape the French urban landscape with architectural projects that prioritize environmental concerns.
Jean Cornil
As the project coordination manager, Jean ensures operational excellence and architectural coherence.
Agency director at Bechu & Associés since 2022, Jean stands out for his exceptional interpersonal skills with clients and production teams, his rigor, and his organizational expertise.
A senior architect, his career spans 20 years of exploring architecture through urban infrastructure projects and territorial development, first at Systra and later at Ingerop, where he led the "Cities & Territories" team.
Jean's extensive experience, both in France and across numerous countries internationally, enables him to effectively translate strategic objectives into operational outcomes. He consistently delivers on financial results, productivity, technical quality, business development, team management, and project commitments with an open-minded approach.
Luca Bertacchi
Luca Bertacchi leads the most ambitious innovative architecture and urban transformation projects.
Luca, partner and architect at the Bechu & Associés architecture agency since 2015, embodies excellence and innovation in the field of contemporary architecture. His work approach allows the creation of projects with strong identity, seeking solid and comprehensive solutions based on complex parameters.
Luca studied urban design and sustainable development in Curitiba, Brazil before obtaining his architecture degree from the University of Ferrara in Italy in 2005. Trained in Mario Cuccinella's teams in Italy, he worked on large-scale projects at different scales, in Italy, Brazil, Ghana and Morocco, from their conception to their delivery.
Luca wishes to bring a unique vision and diverse expertise to each agency project. His commitment to sustainable development in architecture is reflected in his projects, where he pays particular attention to aspects of use, design and organization of space, while maintaining a strong concept throughout the different phases of projects, until their delivery.
Béatrice Mahuzier
Reference expert in heritage rehabilitation, Béatrice Mahuzier supervises all heritage and historical projects.
Béatrice brings to Bechu & Associés more than 25 years of expertise and a contagious passion for architecture. Graduated from the Versailles School of Architecture in 1988, Béatrice joined the agency in 1995, where she quickly demonstrated exceptional talent for managing complex and prestigious projects.
Her career, enriched by unique experiences such as her participation in the Mahuzier cinematographic expeditions around the world, gives her a valuable multicultural perspective. This open-mindedness is reflected in her creative approach and her ability to design spaces that resonate with their environment and history.
Béatrice brings solar energy and contagious optimism to our team. Her positive vision and inspiring leadership are major assets in leading ambitious projects, ranging from the rehabilitation of historical monuments to the design of innovative contemporary spaces.
Béatrice particularly excels in project management in sensitive environments, whether it be classified sites or complex renovations. Her expertise extends to a variety of programs, including offices, commercial spaces, housing and cultural facilities.
Passionate about transmitting her knowledge, Béatrice has also taught at the Special School of Public Works in Paris, sharing her experience with the next generation of architects.

Mounir Soubaï
Mounir leads the design projects for housing and sports infrastructure.
Mounir, a DPLG architect since November 1983, embodies expertise that extends from sports facilities to housing. His career illustrates an unwavering commitment to creating functional and aesthetic spaces, while anticipating future architectural challenges.
Graduated with an architecture option focused on eco-responsibility, Mounir quickly explored the nuances of sustainable architecture, thus anticipating tomorrow's trends. His international experience, particularly in Brazzaville, has shaped his vision of the discipline, leading him to design complex and innovative projects.
After 17 years dedicated to sports facilities, where he notably worked alongside Roger Taillibert, member of the Institute, Mounir joined the Bechu & Associés Architecture Agency nearly ten years ago. Over the years, he has immersed himself more and more in the field of housing, transforming his passion into recognized expertise.
Mounir, through his experience, creativity and dedication, each creation of spaces he designs marries functionality and aesthetics, while anticipating the architectural challenges of tomorrow.
Paulo Carramanha
Pioneer of innovative housing solutions, Paulo oversees this type of operations.
Paulo, partner architect at Bechu & Associés, is a recognized expert in the design of complex and innovative housing. Graduated from the National School of Architecture of Paris-La Villette in 1996, he began his career in Lisbon where he gained valuable experience in the design of villas and collective housing, combining vernacular and contemporary architecture.
Back in Paris, Paulo refined his expertise within various structures before joining the Anthony Bechu Architecture Agency in 2007 as a project manager. His talent and unique vision of urban housing quickly propelled him to the rank of partner in 2015.
A housing specialist, Paulo considers housing as the very essence of the city. He stands out for his ability to design projects that combine quality of life, harmonious integration into the urban environment and optimal functionality. His methodical approach and attentive listening allow him to respond to the complex challenges of contemporary urban planning.
Among his notable achievements are the ZAC Pressensé, the Ilot Caron, the Blanche-Parmentier project in Puteaux, the Jardin Philosophia in Aubervilliers and Le Domaine de Pénélope in Plessis-Robinson. These projects demonstrate his ability to create innovative and sustainable living spaces, perfectly integrated into their urban context.
