Designed as a village, the use of materials and processes in this campus project creates a micro-climate that is almost 100% naturally controlled by harnessing the power of the wind and the sun.
Our project is a landmark campus in line with ISM's sustainable and responsible image. Inspired by the university's codes with a contemporary twist, it will set a new standard in Africa. The block plan of the campus reflects the traditional villages of Senegal, with the shape of the canopy bringing to mind the palaver tree, a traditional gathering place.
Founded in 1992, ISM Dakar is a driving force behind private education in French-speaking Africa. The group educates more than 3,000 students at any given time through a series of ever-expanding hubs (management, political science, law, computer science, etc.). From September 2019, these hubs will be re-housed on one campus.
